You know how it is

I’ve been MIA from my blog for awhile.

I’ve stopped facebooking and twittering. Just these two actions have greatly increased my quality of life.

I’ve been thinking about a better way to post. I want this blog to be a more positive reflection of human life. Though I will post negatives I’ll do my best to post, along with the negatives, solutions.

I’ll continue to post my art and poetry, it’s up to you to decide whether that’s a negative or positive.

While checking Reddit this morning. Disclaimer: There is a lot of negatives on Reddit along with a lot of positives. In most cases you can get both sides of the story and follow ups which you cannot get on other information outlets. You might have to do a little searching and click past some of the BS but I find it more fair than other sites and more disturbing. Their community is active and that makes it nice.

Well they had this video on Reddit. It may make you cry but overall you’ll be inspired. We must work with the police and law enforcement. There is a reason they feel exposed, vulnerable and under attack. Everyone needs help and police officers are no different. Supporting the police will help them support us. It’ll also help weed out the bad, abusive officers. We need to help and care for each other.

Police Chief Edward Flynn is right. You can see his love and caring for the community he serves.

I’ll get off the soap box now.

Please watch the video and make your own decision.

  1. wow ! This guy told it like it is. It could be any big city in the US.
I’m a former (civilian) employee of a big city PD that was always under unfounded attacks and accusations by means of distorted perceptions by those with their own agendas, offering no solutions, only pushing the ‘us against them’ platform.
One day 4 officers were ambushed, shot & killed–the worst day ever of the Dept

    1. Thanks for your response. It really is up to each of us to make our communities better places to live. Those who scream loudest are heard but those who do the hard work are valued. The issue is so complex. Most people think it can be solved with catch phrases. We need to come together and quit with knee jerk responses. There are many set backs but we are on the way to a better world.
